Making Hash Browns
We really wanted to get a video camera for when baby arrives (he's not here yet but it could be any day now), so not long ago we splurged and got a Flip. It's actually inexpensive compared to most other video cameras and it's pretty fun and easy to use. So far we've mostly used it for recording the cats but today we tried our hand at making a cooking video. I'd need a lot more practice before going on The Next Food Network Star, but here's my first ever attempt at making a cooking video.

Coincidentally, I made hash browns last night in the hopes of doing a tutorial on making them fat-free for my blog. This time, though, I couldn't even get them out of the pan with a spatula w/o falling apart, so I'm really impressed with your flip! We also had scrambled tofu (as a burrito filling). Vegan minds think alike!

I have nothing but a long and miserable sequence of failures when it comes to hashbrowns, so this is a great idea for a video.

river2sea - I used the software that comes with the Flip. It's very basic but it does the job.
