Garden Corn Chowder With Basil & Chives

When you tell someone you’re vegan, they ask (often incredulously) “What do you eat?!”. We’ll seek to answer that question here. We probably won’t have a plethora of original gourmet recipes to share (though there may be a few), but we can point you to recipes (or restaurants) we like that were created by other talented people (or maybe just let you know what we’ve pulled out of our freezer). It’s not that hard eating vegan. Allow us to demonstrate.

GREAT video post!! Looove bread pudding.
Crazy question... I'm one of those rare people who cannot stand bananas. Do you think this technique would work if I substituted some other fruit puree?
probably would. the banana is sort of an egg substitute. you can also check out the original recipe that uses silken tofu.
Oooh how cool of you to do a video! The Food Network in your family future?? ;)
How cute is that baby, hanging there, feet swinging, but watching everything going on! A future master vegan chef, I'm sure!
This recipe looks fantastic!
what a cute video! i've always thought that your bread pudding looked yummy. :) nice to get some live footage of your sweet little cutie pie!!
As for the banana hater, I'm sure she could experiment with using applesauce or mango puree instead??
:) Amey
Not only would I have a long way to go veganview but so would the Food Network, what with their constant pandering to the meat and dairy industries...
that's the idea amanda ;-)
thanks Amey! I'll have to try the applesauce idea sometime. or mango...
The pudding looks great! Your son is so cute, checking everything out and swinging his feet!
great blog some how i found you when i was researching things on our sons birth defect esophageal atresia and other complications. i wish you nothing but the best.
Love the video! I would get absolutely no cooking done without my baby carriers (although I prefer to have her on my back so her toes don't get in the way. I will have to make this bread pudding soon!
thanks linda! he's not quite old enough to be on our back yet but getting close! the feet do get in the way...
LOL I love that the lil one is flopping around the whole time.. adorable..

This was a great video, thanks Chris!
I'm definitely going to make this soon. I love banana pudding and bread pudding, so I'm sure this is a hit.
A great video, Chris! I love bread pudding! And your little one is so attentive! A fast learner, I'll bet!
I was interested to see your bread pudding recipe as I just came up with a delicious one myself. I was even more excited to noticed that you made this video with a flip! I just got mine yesterday and I can't wait to use it to vamp up my cooking videos. Awesome blog, I'm totally linking you!
thanks! we really like the flip. as far as video cameras go it's very affordable and does pretty well for the money.
